Kohler ARTspace Features Martinez Paintings and Tapestries
From July 13-October 5, paintings and tapestries from Martinez Studio will be featured at Kohler ARTspace at the Shops at Woodlake, the satellite gallery of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI. Wence and Sandra’s work will be part of a show titled “Black, White and a Bit of Color.”
“We were thrilled to learn that our work will be appearing at ARTspace by special request from Ruth Kohler herself, one of the outstanding leaders and visionaries of the art world,” says Sandra. “The PBS/WI Public Television video profile of us will run alongside our work, giving visitors an inside look at our story and process.”
ARTspace assistant curator Sandra Byers says, “We are so pleased to be showing the paintings and tapestries of Sandra and Wence. Showcasing Wisconsin artists gives us a lot of pride, and their pieces will bring color and depth to the exhibition.”
Next time you are driving past Sheboygan while traveling to or from Door County, please stop in! Your purchase at the gallery, large or small, benefits the amazing work of the Kohler Arts Center as well as exhibiting artists.
