Codice #101 will be auctioned in support of the Smithsonian mission. Sandra’s painted weaving studies on book pages from 1877 are the starting point in her design process. Floated in deep frames, the edges throw shadows referencing the paper’s first use.
Last stop on the eastern trail is our first Morven in May show in Princeton, NJ. Fri-Sun May 6-8 New works by Wence, Sandra’s book pages and Village Collection weavings celebrate the family’s Oaxaca/Wisconsin weaving legacy.
